MR. FRIGHTS: You've done several movies, you worked on TV and on stage, now you have a CD coming out. With regards to your body of work, what accomplishment are you most proud of? -
ROBYN GRIGGS: I am a very lucky person, I am proud of everything or I
wouldn't do it. This Summer I am going to be directing my own film called "The Squad" , I have to admit, I am extremely proud to do it :)
MR. FRIGHTS: Can you tell us about a horror movie or show you've seen recently that you really liked a lot?-
ROBYN GRIGGS: I just watched "Lake Mungo" the other night and it scared me so bad that I had to have all the lights in the house on... it's weird because it isn't that scary when you watch it, but the aftermath really is something else.. haha
MR. FRIGHTS: Can you tell us a little about "The Squad"?-
ROBYN GRIGGS: I have always loved Horror Movies and lately all these remakes are being made which just empowered me to try something new... I am going to direct. I really love the
old John Carpenter
movies and I wanted to do a teenage slasher movie, but not any remake, just something that make you look over the shoulder...a Lot. So, after trying my hand at writing, I realized, I am really not that great writing a screenplay, but good with synopsis, so I asked
Keith Kline and
Denny Williams, to help me make this script come to life, That's just what they did, so now we are in
preproduction and very excited for this to be happening... The hard part is just raising the budget so you can do everything you want to, so I added a pledge page on
kickstarter.com, which has been a great help. We now have added
Trent Haaga and
Edwin Neal as the male leads, so I am thrilled to make this dream of mine a reality.. I have so much support from friends and fans, it means a lot and is keeping me motivated... so keep your eye out for....."THE SQUAD".
MR. FRIGHTS: What can fans expect next from you?-
ROBYN GRIGGS: Expect me to direct a very creepy old school style teen slasher movie, and expect a great music
CD, Plus a lot of movies in the future, I wont back down anytime soon.. hehe... I feel lucky to do what I love, I have a passion for this biz and I always will feel blessed.
MR. FRIGHTS: Tell me how you would like to die MOST on screen if you were the victim on a homicidal, possibly possessed, movie serial killer?-
ROBYN GRIGGS: Hmmm, I think the only way to die from a serial killer, would be brutally...nothing fast.
Hit the Grab Bag Questions below to go on with the interview...
GRAB BAG QUESTIONS

ROBYN GRIGGS: Neither, I think I am death by
Sugar Babies candy.. hehe.
MR. FRIGHTS: If you were to remake any famous horror film, which film, and how would it be different from the original?-
ROBYN GRIGGS: I wouldn't remake a film, I think we need to honor the originals.

ROBYN GRIGGS: Both... hehe
MR. FRIGHTS: If you could star with any horror icon alive today, who would it be and why?-
ROBYN GRIGGS: I am kind of torn here, I have had the privilege to have met many of my horror idols...

Robert Zdar, all are my favorites but my all time favorite isn't alive anymore,

ROBYN GRIGGS: I love quick dolly shots.. many movies have that
MR. FRIGHTS: If you were held hostage, and were given a chance to escape if you offered one part of your body for extraction/dismemberment... What part would you offer up and why?-
