ill titlefive with frights:

count crow

COUNT CROW, bringing much needed musical relief to those of us who have played out the typical anthems of our favorite holiday, this musician has ventured out into the grave yard with his new CD which I think is going to be a huge hit!

MR. FRIGHTS: What got you out of the coffin and into this brand of music?

COUNT CROW: Desire! I have been wanting to make this music for quite some time and there has not been anything like my style of music since "The Monster Mash".

MR. FRIGHTS: Most ghouls only get off one hit, where did you "dig up" the inspiration for a project featuring THIRTEEN songs that ALL could be hits?

COUNT CROW: Truth be told, there are 10 true songs, two intros and the 13th is a shout out for my Creature friends. I have been around for quite some time so I made all different styles of music that I have heard over the years to place in my album - it is not one genre, it has all kinds - that adds to the fun of it.

MR. FRIGHTS: When Count Crow listens to music, who do you listen to?

COUNT CROW: Of course I love classical, it reminds me of the good old days. Now it's anything that can put a swing in my step or a flap in my wings. Trance is usually fun and down tempo is great for those dark nights just before dinner. It is always good to remember that music is in everything - sometimes a good scream is music to my ears.

MR. FRIGHTS: So, I'm sure fans will want to know this, but is there a back story to Count Crow?

COUNT CROW: I have always had a passion for music and intelligent lyrics. The real back story is having ghoulish friends and family that are there to support and help you. Ever since I was first bitten, having "crypts" you can trust is always helpful.

MR. FRIGHTS: The question I think fans will most want me to ask is "Is there a Count Crow Christmas album in the works"? (what's next for Count Crow)

COUNT CROW: Christmas Shcristmas! I only care about Halloween and I have many things in the casket waiting to come out. I already have 3 more songs for my next album (2012), I may put one of them out as a single next year. I have a video for "Shout the Boo" getting ready for production and release before October. Some of the other items I can not yet speak about. However, Mr. Frights, you will be one of the first to know when I do.

GRAB BAG QUESTIONS

MR. FRIGHTS: Do you feel that in todays "Miley Cyrus" infected society that there's room for a cool ghoul like Count Crow?

COUNT CROW: Count Crow is needed now more than ever! What I create and do is more unique now than it ever would have been - and it cuts against the main-stream. Almost everyone who hears the album loves it - I get emails, letters and phone calls, it is fantastic. Moreover, our favorite holiday is more popular than ever! Lastly, I must admit that Vampires have also become quite the rage - Twilight, True Blood, Underworld, etc. - Our enchantment of the mortals only continues to grow.

MR. FRIGHTS: Are the other vampires going to be mad that you're coming out to the world like this?

COUNT CROW: Not at all! All vampires believe that we should each make our mark!

MR. FRIGHTS: Something I've always wanted to know, do the fangs ever get in the way?

COUNT CROW: I guess you could say that they get in the way of our victims well being. Other than that, they are retractable.

MR. FRIGHTS: Even though you've already got a record deal, do you think there could be an American Idol appearance in your future?

COUNT CROW: There is no reason for The Count to appear on American Idol. If I wish to appear before Simon, I will do so when he is least expecting it and at the place of my choosing. I am sure I would then make him an offer he could not refuse.

MR. FRIGHTS: Being a vampire count, I have to ask you to help us put a key debate to rest... do you sparkle in the sunlight?

COUNT CROW: I love the mystery that these newer impressions of our appearance give. We have spent quite a bit of effort to make sure there are still some things unknown. Just think, if that were true, we actually have been walking amongst mortals in the daylight - this creates a very different picture of who we are and what we can do. I have been asked by my local Coven not to discuss the matter any further than this.
